WALKING MEDIATION INFORMATION
What is walking meditation?
The Walking Meditation is an opportunity to practice transitioning from seated meditation (where you change your energy with eyes closed) to an active meditation (where you change your energy while standing with eyes closed) – and then walk in that energy with eyes open. You outwardly demonstrate who you want to be in your future by becoming that person – in mind, body, heart, and soul.
Who can participate:
Whether you are practicing Dr Joe’s meditations, or you’re new to the work, everyone is welcome. This is your chance to inspire – and be inspired by – change in the world.

Yes, your eyes are open when you walk.

If you are not comfortable with closing your eyes, yes you can keep them open. The benefit of keeping your eyes closed is to disconnect from everything around you so you can relax as there is less sensory information coming from your brain and you slow your brain waves down.  Please only close your eyes if it is safe to do so.

Dr Joe will guide you through a recorded meditation, which will last approximately 50 minutes. You will be standing with eyes closed and walking with eyes open for equal amounts of time.123

Who is Dr Joe Dispenza?
As a New York Times best-selling author, researcher, lecturer, and corporate consultant, Dr Joe’s work has led him to develop a practical formula to help people transform their lives. Dr Joe’s mission seeks to unify many branches of science in a very simple way, with a focus on research and the data behind spontaneous remissions.

Since 2010, he has partnered with scientists and universities to perform extensive research on the effects of meditation on the brain and body.
During his advanced retreats around the world, his team has gathered more than 18,000 brain scans (quantitative QEEG) and 10,000 heart-rate variability (HRV) measurements in an attempt to correlate the effects that sustained elevated emotions and self- regulation have on heart and brain function, immune response, and overall mind- body health. He and his team also have studied gene expression, protein regulation, immune response, neurotransmitter changes, telomere length, and variations in bioactive cellular metabolic particles in novice and advanced meditators.
Creating Your New Future
Unique, life-changing, and powerful … Dr Joe’s science-based meditations are proven tools of transformation that help you cultivate a new personality – and create a new personal reality. Through practicing the 4 types of meditation – sitting, standing, walking, and lying-down – you’ll learn to develop heart and brain coherence and tune into the generous present moment … the only place from which we can create.
Why is Dr Joe’s walking meditation different from some other forms of meditation?
Dr. Joe’s walking meditations combine elements of mindfulness and visualization with the act of walking. While they share some similarities with other forms of meditation, there are several key differences that set them apart:
·       Active Meditation: Unlike traditional seated meditation, Dr. Joe’s walking meditations involve physical movement. Participants are encouraged to walk at a slow and deliberate pace while focusing their attention on specific thoughts or intentions.
·       Mind Body Connection: There is an emphasis on the mind-body connection in his walking meditations.
·       Visualization and Intentions: The meditations often incorporate visualization techniques and the setting of specific intentions. Participants are guided to visualize their desired outcomes or goals while walking. This aspect of the practice is designed to rewire the brain and create new neural pathways associated with positive change.
·       Neural Plasticity: Dr. Joe’s approach to meditation is grounded in his understanding of neuroplasticity, which is the brain’s ability to reorganize and adapt throughout life. He believes that by combining meditation with focused intentions and emotional states, individuals can create significant changes in their neural wiring and, consequently, their lives.
What if I prefer my own style of meditation?
There are many different meditation techniques that resonate with different people, and each person has their preferences which is expected. We encourage you to practice a style which you are comfortable with.
